The project GenViPRreF - Gender, violence and representation. Creative Texts in Peninsular Women's Press (1848-1918) (Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades / Agencia Estatal de Investigación- MCIN/AEI/ 10.13039/501100011033) has just published its in open access database, which can be accessed by anyone interested. The project's international team is currently working on the codification of the different types of gender violence included in the texts written by women published in the first magazines aimed at women in the Iberian cultural sphere between 1848 and 1918. The database allows searches by keywords, publications and authors. The work currently being carried out aims, on the one hand, at giving a voice to the women writers, many of them almost unknown, who defied the social norms of the time by starting to publish their work in the emerging written press and, on the other hand, at studying the different forms of gender violence represented as well as their mechanisms of normalisation.
