The Department of History of Law, Roman Law and State Ecclesiastical Law of the Faculty of Law at the University of Barcelona is structured in three knowledge areas: History of Law and Institutions, Roman Law, and State Ecclesiastical Law. Teaching is provided by thirty academics, all of them specialists in their respective knowledge areas. The Department of History of Law, Roman Law and State Ecclesiastical Law is responsible for organizing and coordinating tuition for subjects in the bachelor's degree in Law, the master's degree in Law, and the bachelor's degree in Labour Relations. This web page provides information on the teaching activities of the Department's academic staff (subjects, course plans, timetables, etc.) in the different knowledge areas.

The teaching staff of the Department of History of Law, Roman Law and State Ecclesiastical Law are also actively involved in research, through a range of competitvely funded projects, leading to extensive bibliographical output and a notable presence in the leading academic and scientific forums.
