Miguel López Blanco
Professor at the Universitat de Barcelona and member of the Geomodels Research Institute Governing Board.
My research lines are focused mainly in:
✓Sequence Stratigraphy.
✓Stratigraphic and sedimentologic analysis of ancient deltaic (and fan-delta) systems.
✓Basin Analysis.
✓Chrono- and cyclostratigraphy.
✓Sedimentation-tectonics relations.
✓3D reconstruction and characterization of geological bodies.
Most of this research has been developed on paleogene sediments from the Ebro basin and South-pyrenean Foreland basins (NE Spain). However, some research has been also developed on the tertiary of the Duero basin (N Spain), cretaceous of the Book cliffs (Utah, USA) and San Jorge basin (Argentina), Neogene strata of Vallès-Penedès basin (NE Spain) and Quaternary of the Besòs delta (NE Spain).
