Modalities
Margarita Salas grants for the training of young doctors
The object of the call is the training of young doctors through the subsidy of stays, developed continuously, in a Spanish public university, in foreign universities or research centers or in Spanish public research bodies (other than the centers in which the pre-doctoral training has been done and the doctorate has been obtained). In the event that the training stays take place in foreign universities or research centers or in Spanish public research bodies, the last year of the stay must take place at the UB or at another Spanish public university of your choice. of the applicant, including the one in which the doctorate has been obtained.
Duration
The duration of the contracts signed is two full years and must begin between January 1 and April 1, 2022, except for reasons of force majeure, which is resolved by the convening body.
Import
€ 3,500 gross per month per stay abroad.
€ 2,800 gross per month for stays in Spain, and in any case for the last year.
These amounts include the employer’s contribution to the contract signed, as well as all applicable remuneration items associated with the contract. In addition, a single payment of € 3,500 gross is made as a transfer fee. A minimum of 120 grants will be awarded, for an amount of € 10M.
Recipients
Have obtained the title of doctor at the UB no later than two years prior to the closing date for the submission of applications for this call.
This period is extended when any of the circumstances described in Article 4.2 of the call apply.
People who have obtained the title of doctor in Spanish private universities, or those of Spanish nationality who have obtained it in foreign universities or research centers and who ask to do part or all of their stay at the UB, can also submit the application to the UB, if they meet the other requirements.
Apply for incorporation to carry out a continuous stay for two years in a Spanish public university, or during the first year in foreign universities or research centers or in Spanish public research organizations.
Grants for the Reclassification of civil servants or contracted university teachers
The object of the call is the requalification of civil servants or contracted university professors of the UB by means of training stays in a university or research center different from the one in which it maintains the labor or statutory relation.
Permanent teaching staff (university holder and permanent associate): the grant is formalized through a mobility stay, as a license for training purposes.
Lecturer: the granting of the grant entails the suspension of the contract, by mutual agreement, with the right to reserve the place and without loss of seniority.
Duration
Permanent teaching staff (university holder and permanent associate): 1 or 2 years, which may be non-continuous. The license must be formalized before April 1, 2022, but the stay can take place between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2024.
Lecturer: 1 or 2 years to be continued. The contract must be formalized and must take effect between January 1, 2022 and April 1, 2022, except for reasons of justified force majeure, which is resolved by the convening body.
Import
The amount of the aid is the equivalent of the gross salary, including the supplements received on the last day of the application period, plus a mobility premium of 20% of this gross salary. In addition, a single payment of € 3,500 gross is made as a transfer fee. A minimum of 10 grants will be awarded, for an amount of € 1.2 million.
Recipients
To be a tenured university professor or associate professor, in an active situation and with a permanent link to the UB, or to be a lecturer at the UB.
Apply to join a Spanish public university or research center, or a foreign public or private university or research center other than the UB.
The tenured university professor or permanent associate cannot exceed ten years of service in the figure he holds at the time of making the application.
The lecturer may not have been previously contracted with the contractual modality provided for in Article 22 of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, at the UB or in another entity, for a time that makes it impossible to comply with what has the letter c of the said article.
María Zambrano grants for the attraction of international talent
The purpose of the call is to attract to the UB teaching and research staff with a postdoctoral background accumulated in foreign universities or research centers, so that they can carry out a training stay at the UB on a continuous basis.
Duration
1 or 2 full years, at the choice of the successful bidder. They must be initiated between January 1 and April 1, 2022, except for justified force majeure, which is resolved by the convening body.
Import
€ 4,000 gross per month, this amount includes the employer’s contribution to the contract signed, as well as all applicable remuneration items associated with the contract.
In addition, a single payment of € 3,500 gross is made as a transfer fee.
A minimum of 82 grants will be awarded, for an amount of € 8.8M.
Recipients
Be a teaching and research staff with a doctoral degree and, at the time of submitting the application, be developing a research project and / or teaching at universities, research centers or organizations located outside Spain. It is an additional requirement to reside in the country where the university or center of origin is located.
Alleged research projects must be directly linked to the applicant's academic activity.
Accredit a cumulative postdoctoral career of not less than 24 months in Spanish universities or research centers or located outside Spain, other than the center in which the doctoral thesis was defended.
The impact of the incorporation of the researcher on the requalification of the host university team must be justified.
It cannot have been previously contracted with the contractual modality provided for in Article 22 of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, at the UB or in another entity, for a time that makes it impossible to comply with the provisions of letter c of the said article.
Aspects to highlight
2% of the total amount allocated to each modality is reserved for people who prove, in accordance with Spanish regulations, a disability equal to or greater than 33%. Aid reserved for people with disabilities who are left empty will be added to the general shift aid of the same type.
