    May 29–30, 2025, Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona We are delighted to announce the Workshop on Language Economics and Policy, hosted by the Universitat de Barcelona School of Economics and the Quantitative and Regional Analysis Research Group (AQR-IREA). The event will take place at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona on May 29–30, 2025, room 2019 (Building 696).

    The workshop will feature the presentation of papers exploring the economic implications of language in a broad sense, as well as the economic impact of language-related policies.
    The workshop is part of the research project “The Causal Effects of Language-in-Education Policies and Language Training in a Bilingual Society: Novel Evidence for the Case of Catalonia”, funded by the Institut d’Estudis de l'Autogovern (PRE166/23/000004).
