UB School of Economics concludes the 2026 Summer School on Machine Learning and AI for Economists
The UB School of Economics has successfully concluded the 2026 Summer School Seeing through the Algorithms: A Summer School on Machine Learning & AI for Economists, held from 6 to 10 July. The programme brought together researchers, doctoral students and professionals from around the world to explore how Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are reshaping economic research and policy analysis.

The Universitat de Barcelona School of Economics announces, with great sadness, that Dr. Xavier Raurich, Full Professor at the Department of Economics and UBSE researcher, has passed away.

University of Barcelona strengthens collaboration with the Catalan Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies
The University of Barcelona and the Catalan Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies (Ivalua) have signed a collaboration agreement to promote joint activities in training, research, and knowledge transfer. The agreement reinforces the partnership between Ivalua and the Faculty of Economics and Business, home to the UB School of Economics, while also allowing for future collaborations with other University of Barcelona units.
