THE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS TEAM
At the IRO of the Faculty of Economics and Business you will find a team committed to the internationalization process of the center and all its members. It is proof of it, for instance, the nearly 800 students -incoming and outgoing- who carry out an international mobility each academic year, and that can reach up to 1,500 considering prospective exchange students. These numbers consolidate us as one of the most active centers of the UB concerning international student mobility: our faculty alone represents 25% of the university’s total amount of international mobility students. It is also worth noting the network of partnerships established by the center over time and its continuous analysis, which takes into account not only the quality of the academics and the experience, but also the preferences of students in relation to destinations, the geographical diversity, different areas of specialization and added value for students; thus, at the IRO of the Faculty we also work to maintain, promote and improve this network of partnerships and the offer of destinations for our students. We would like to add that we are passionate about this area since we consider the experience of participating in international mobility programs to be deeply enriching, both for the academic and personal value that
that it brings to those who participate in them. Despite the growing challenges, and as a result of our vocational outlook and firm belief in the advantages these programs offer, we also try to ensure that the experience of mobility itself is improved, together with its inclusiveness, in a process of continuous process-improvement and participation in different programs and actions that can contribute positively to the process of internationalization of the Faculty and its members.
Montse Cervera – Head of the International Relations Office
Bachelor Degree in Sociology and in Political Science and Public Administration at University of Barcelona. Official Master’s Degree in Immigration Management at Pompeu Fabra University. 15+ years of experience in university administration and management in higher education, mainly linked to the field of internationalization. Annual mobility for studies at York University, Canada.
Eva Gea – Mobility Coordinator
Bachelor Degree in Sociology at University of Barcelona. Official master’s degree in Social Policy, Work and Welfare at Autonomous University of Barcelona. 7+ years of experience in administration and management at the UB, all linked to international mobility. 3+ years of experience in research related to different fields, also in international projects. 3 months mobility for traineeships in Modena, Italy.
Marta Fornols – International Officer | Outgoing
Bachelor Degree in Law at Pompeu Fabra University. 15 years of experience in management and administration in private companies, in the department of international accounts and customer management. 3+ years of experience experience in administration and management at the UB, all linked to international mobility.
Noelia Fornés – International Officer | Incoming, GLOCAL & EWP Agreements
Bachelor Degree in History at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. 15 years of experience in management and administration in private companies, national and international, linked to the hospitality and touristic sentor, and to the organization of events and the management and supervision of fairs and conferences in the city of Barcelona.
