Attention

A   |   2013 / 2014

We will discuss different texts concerning the phenomenon of attention. These touch upon issues such as the relationship between attention and consciousness, the epistemic role of attention, the role attention may play in the configuration of phenomenal experience, or the arguable role of attention in fixing demonstrative reference.

Our meetings will take place fortnightly, beggining on Wednesday 12 February. Each session will start at 17:00, except for 12 February and 7 May’s, which will start at 18:00. We will be meeting in the Seminar room of the Dept of Logic, History and Philosophy of Science.

Please see below for the list of proposed texts per session. This list is not closed to further suggestions as we go through the readings.
