GRS   |   2010 / 2011

This is a reading group on issues in connection with gender, race, and sexuality, with special attention to methodological considerations in "applied" (analytic) philosophy. More specifically, we meet every week during the core months of the second term. Further information will be available here in due course, but we could be discussing papers such as the following:

Haslanger (2010): 'Language, Politics and “The Folk”: Looking for “The Meaning” of ‘Race’'. forthcoming in The Monist

Mercier (2009): 'On the Nature of Marriage', The Monist

Saul (2010): 'Politically Significant Terms and Philosophy of Language: Methodological Issues', forthcoming in Superson and Crasnow, Analytic Feminist Contributions to Traditional Philosophy.
