Víctor Rouco

I’m currently a doctoral student in Ghent University (Belgium). My PhD topic is about psychometric approaches to large-scale assessment in personality psychology, supervised by Filip De Fruyt and David Gallardo-Pujol. Previously, I did my Bachelor studies in psychology at the University of Salamanca and coursed the research in behavior and cognition master at the University of Barcelona.

My research interests lie mostly on the field of psychological assessment. More specifically, I’m focused on the development of short assessment instruments and adaptations to other languages and cultures. I’m also interested in personality development from childhood to adulthood and in processes of differentiation of psychological constructs through the life-course. Furthermore, I’m engaged in constructing user-friendly psychological assessment tools which bring the latest scientific advances to professionals in a comprehensive yet rigorous way.
