Family Holidays 2025
Who is it aimed at?
Xanascat ‘s ‘Family Vacations’ program is aimed at all those families with children under the age of eighteen who want to disconnect from day-to-day life to have different experiences, strengthen bonds, learn together and share with other families.
The 1st call will open on November 25th at 12:00 noon and you will have two weeks to complete your pre-registration and participate in the draw for places on December 11th.
You can choose from 26 hostels in the XANASCAT and opt for one of the 387 shifts offered in stays for Easter, the bridge of May 1st, the bridge of June 9th, the bridge of St. John or any weekend.
You will be able to escape every weekend from the month of January, disconnect throughout the summer and also during the bridges of Easter, at the bridge of May 1st, bridge of June 9th, bridge of St . Joan, at the Diada bridge and December!

Easter Week Colony
Who is it aimed at?
The Easter Week Camps Programme of the National Network of Social Hostels of Catalonia (XANASCAT) is a proposal of the Catalan Youth Agency that is aimed at boys and girls from 8 to 16 years old to stay at XANASCAT’s hostels during the Easter school holidays.
General objectives of the stays:
- To provide the Easter holiday period with an educational, cultural, sporting and convivial content.
- To transmit values of coexistence and companionship.

Summer is yours 2025
The programme “Summer is yours” is a proposal of the Catalan Youth Agency (ACJ) of the Department of Social Rights of the Generalitat de Catalunya that is aimed at boys and girls from 5 to 16 years old with the objective of having fun, while learning, during the summer holidays in the hostels of the Youth Hostels Network of Catalonia (XANASCAT).
The Summer is Yours camps seek to guarantee equal access and learning opportunities in the educational process. Children and young people, regardless of their economic or social situation, can access El verano es tuyo, where they can find cultural, playful and technical activities oriented to play and leisure and focused on the acquisition of skills and knowledge by children and actively contributing to their personal and social development.
Stays to learn, grow and have a good time
The holiday period is the ideal time for young people in Catalonia to learn and improve in the subject they like the most and to do it in a fun way and in a different environment than usual.
Living with friends and monitors for a few days and, at the same time, promoting learning in various areas: languages, music, performing arts, cinema, photography, sports, nature, science,… the list is long!
Support for families and young people
Large families, single-parent families and host families receive a reduction equivalent to 10% of the stay.
Young people with a Youth Card will benefit from a 5% reduction on the total cost of the stay.
Accessibility
No barriers for children and young people with functional diversity and educational needs. We work to offer special support and/or adaptations to facilitate the active and inclusive participation of children and young people in the stays.
Monitoring
The average number of “Summer is yours!” stays is below the required level.
There is 1 monitor for every 8 participants, whereas the minimum requirement is 1 monitor for every 10 participants.
This reinforces security, educational resources and day-to-day supervision of the participants.
The professional teams of the stays are made up of monitors and qualified leisure directors, as well as professionals in the corresponding speciality.
Prevention and safety in activities
The schools have an audit and safety manual.
Educate in safety behaviours to improve self-protection habits. Have a good time and take no risks.
Safety in the activities that take place during the Summer is Yours is a key issue for XANASCAT. It is for this reason that we are working hard on the continuous improvement of resources and the implementation of new measures.
Emotional education
During the stays, the emotional well-being of the participating children and young people is ensured through cross-curricular dynamics and activities.
The monitoring of the stays is a continuous training in this field.
Food and nutrition
We offer special diets for allergies and food intolerances through our dietary and nutritional advice service.
Xanascat promotes healthy eating.
Varied and quality hostels
10 hostels spread throughout the territory and located in places of great natural and cultural interest on the coast, inland, in the mountains and on the plains.
