Abstract:

Dr. Rocco Tiberti (University of Pavia) will explain why and how fish introductions in high mountain lakes are producing a widespread biodiversity loss. The results of the LIFE + Bioaquae (Biodiversity Improvement of Aquatic Alpine Ecosystems) will be used to indicate which conservation measures and actions can be adopted to reverse the invasion process and to restore invaded habitats.
