The campus is located in Barcelona’s Eixample Esquerra district, near Hospital Clínic. Its main façade runs along Carrer de Casanova, and the main entrance opens northeast onto Carrer de Rosselló. The campus has an excellent location in downtown Barcelona and is easily accessible by public transport.
The biomedical campus in Carrer de Casanova consists of a set of facilities used for university activity around the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. It includes some of the facilities at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, the August Pi and Sunyer Institute for Biomedical Research (IDIBAPS), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the Esther Koplowitz Centre (CEK) and ISGlobal.
In addition to Hospital Clínic, the campus includes another university hospital, Hospital de la Mútua de Terrassa, and partners with several non-university hospitals: Hospital del Sagrat Cor, Hospital Dos de Maig de Barcelona-Consorci Sanitari Integral, Hospital Esperit Sant, Hospital Municipal de Badalona and Hospital de Mataró-Consorci Sanitari del Maresme.
