QÜESTRAM is a Research Group recognised by the Generalitat de Catalunya (2021 SGR 01342) with a consolidated research and knowledge transfer track record in the field of environmental protection and food safety, areas in which it has acquired international prestige.

The current research challenges that drive the group’s activities are the following: development of new methods and materials for the determination of priority pollutants (with special attention to radionuclides);  evaluation and prediction of the mechanisms of interaction and environmental mobility of pollutants; design of remediation strategies for contaminated areas; resolution of problems related to data quality and traceability.
The results of the research are translated into an important transfer of knowledge to companies and public administration through three main units: Laboratory of Environmental Radiology, Laboratory for the Preparation of Quality Control Materials and Unit for the Preparation of Fluorescent Polymers.
