MatControl

  • Development of new reference materials for quality control in environmental and food analysis according to legislation requirements in different fields.
  • Organization of proficiency testing schemes under ISO/IEC 17043 management system: regular campaigns for Waste Characterisation, Cereals Analysis and Organic Elemental and Isotopic Analysis.
  • Technical and scientific consultancy for companies and administrations on quality assurance issues.

Unit for the Preparation of Fluorescent Polymers

  • Synthesis of plastic scintillators (PS) in different formats: PSm (microspheres), PS-sticks (foils), PS-kits (vials).
  • Coating of PS with selective extractants (PSresin) to reduce reagents consumption and time of analysis.
  • Development of systems for continuous analysis based on PSm.
