International collaborations with the project

In order to set up and strengthen international relationships, a number of collaborations were made in the course of the project:

  • Dr Bianca Dapelo, coordinator of the University Access and Persistence Unit (Unidad de Acceso y Permanencia Universitaria, UAIP) at the Universidad Playa Ancha Valparaiso-Chile, was invited to exchange experiences of successful interventions at a workshop on 5th and 6th September 2019.
  • Dr. Jorge Miranda Ossandón of the Universidad Católica de Temucho (Chile) was invited to carry out a research stay from 13th to 18th January 2020, to share the scientific advances of his research in higher education, specifically in the analysis of socio-cognitive factors in academic transitions. Dr. Miranda is a member of the Interuniversity Network of Education Researchers (IE in its Spanish initials).
  • Dra. Silviana Batlle of the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (Argentina) was invited to carry out a research stay in October 2019 and to give a presentation titled “University Guidance in Virtual Environments.”
