Phase 1 activities
- Analysis of university statistics. The latest published university statistics were analysed.
- Contacts with the governing bodies of participating universities to request access to official data on the student populations of social sciences masters’ degrees. This activity involved the research team member from each participating university.
- Presentation of the information compiled and choice of selection criteria for the sample of masters’ degrees. The range of social sciences masters’ courses offered by each university was analysed. The degrees were evaluated according to type in Memoria VERIFICA. Inclusive criteria for the selection of the degrees to be embraced in the study were agreed on.
- Analysis of the academic data, as a whole and in segments, by types of masters’ degrees and universities. Information on the masters’ courses taking part was gathered from their respective university databases.
