Competition to fill senior lecturer posts under the Serra Húnter Programme

On 14 March 2016, the decision of the Rector of the University of Barcelona of 7 March 2016 announcing selection processes to hire teaching and research staff under the Serra Húnter Programme was published in the Official Gazette of the Catalan Government (DOGC).

 

DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE CALL

 

NOTE

We have detected an error in the announcement published on 14 March 2016 in the information about the CALENDAR for the Call for job positions for senior lecturersprofessorat agregat offered in the Serra Húnter Programme published on 14 March 2016 in the DOGC. In order to rectify this error so that this information may comply with Article 4 of the Regulations for this Call, we announce the following correction.

 

KEY DATES

  • Period for submission of applications
    15 March 2016 to 13 April 2016, both dates inclusive
  • Publication of the provisional list of persons admitted to and excluded from the competition
    14 April 2016 >>> MODIFIED DATE: 25 APRIL 2016
  • Period for lodging complaints concerning the provisional list
    26 April 2016 to 6 May 2016
  • Publication of the final list of persons admitted to and excluded from the competition
    (date to be determined)
  • Period for deciding the outcome of the competitions
    from the publication date of the final list of persons admitted to and excluded from the competition to 15 october 2016

Documents to be submitted in a Serra Húnter competition

The following documents must be submitted to one of the University’s public registers or by any of the means provided for in Article 38(4) of Law 30/1992, of 26 November, on the Legal Framework of Public Administrations and Common Administrative Procedures:

  • The candidate’s application form, which must be signed and registered within the period established in the terms and conditions of the call. By signing the application form, the candidate declares that he or she meets the general and specific requirements established in the terms and conditions.
  • Proof of payment of the applicable fee (only if the applicant chooses to deposit the fee to one of the accounts indicated below).
  • Catalunya Caixa (IBAN: ES81 2013 0500 1202 0263 7727)
    Banc Santander (IBAN: ES85 0049 1806 9627 1188 0769)

 

Documents to be submitted by email in PDF format:

  • Copy of national identity document or passport
  • Doctoral degree certificate or accreditation of successful completion of the doctorate If the applicant’s degree was not issued by a Spanish university or is not recognized in the country, it must be homologated to a degree officially recognized in Spain before a contract is signed.
  • Accreditation for the category of the post offered, issued by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency or the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment
  • Full curriculum vitae in any format (1)
  • A document that specifies the applicant’s five most valuable academic contributions(articles, books, patents, etc.) (1)
  • A brief description of the applicant’s teaching experience(maximum one page) (1)
  • A general description of the applicant's teaching and research interests, indicating their relevance to the area covered by the contract offered for the next five years (maximum six pages). (1)

(1) Applicants who submitted documents to the director of the Serra Húnter Programme in the first part of the selection process may authorize the University of Barcelona to use these documents rather than resubmitting them. The choice of this option must be indicated on the candidate’s application form.

 

The subject line of the email must specify the competition code.
