The workshop DM1: Metaphysics in the Law is an interdisciplinary series of talks focusing on issues at the intersection between contemporary analytic metaphysics and the philosophy of law. The topics to be dealt with will include metaphysical accounts of core legal phenomena (validity, obligation, authority), applications to law of central metaphysical concepts (grounding, causation), and the relevance of the metaphysics of linguistic content for legal interpretation.
