The REDICE project: Training university faculty in the implementation of a gender perspective in higher education classrooms (2023–2025), promoted by the Institute for Professional Development (IDP) of the University of Barcelona, has recently concluded and presents a dissemination video showcasing some of the preliminary research findings.

The project is led by Dr. Ilaria Bellatti, a member of the DHIGECS-COM research group, and aims to investigate the factors that enable university faculty at the University of Barcelona to implement the gender perspective in higher education teaching.

The research team is composed of members from different disciplinary fields at the University of Barcelona, with a strong presence from the Faculty of Education, as well as from the scientific-technological and audiovisual communication fields. This diversity has made it possible to analyse educational contexts corresponding to more feminised, more masculinised and mixed degree programmes.

Although the results are still in the analysis and data triangulation phase, preliminary findings highlight the importance of faculty awareness and personal sensitisation as a key element for the effective integration of the gender perspective in university classrooms.

The dissemination video summarises these initial findings and contributes to making them accessible to both the academic community and society as a whole.
