Impact on public policies

Barbara Biglia's work on gender-based violence in universities contributed to the reform of Catalan Law 5/2008 on the right of women to eradicate gender-based violence, modified by Law 17/2020. This impact has been recognized by the Department of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

In this context, the researcher was invited to participate in the evaluation of the Framework Protocol of the Government of Catalonia against gender-based violence.

In this video, Assumpta Aneas engages in a conversation with Huangfu Junwei, a Chinese expert in education and child development, exploring the foundations of habit formation, the respective roles of families and teachers, and current educational challenges. Huangfu Junwei serves as Chief Expert of the Child Development Research Center under the Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation of China. He is also Senior Researcher at the Beijing Shuren Tiandi Institute of Educational Research and Deputy Director of the National Research Group on Habit Formation Education (behavior development education). The dialogue offers a cross-cultural perspective on education, highlighting the importance of early habit formation, shared responsibility between home and school, and the long-term impact of educational practices on children's development. This conversation is part of the knowledge transfer and international dialogue initiatives promoted by the Research Group on Intercultural Education (GREDI-UB), University of Barcelona.
