The 44th Congress of the Spanish Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SEBBM) took place in Málaga from September 6 to 9, 2022 and had an extensive program, with plenary lectures, symposiums, group meetings, satellite activities and the delivery of 9 prizes, among them, the IBUB Young Investigator Prize (2.500€), which was awarded to researcher Laura Herrero for her project on a novel ex vivo gene therapy approach to combat obesity and diabetes.
