Descripció: Mark Rowan is a well known specialist in salt tectonics. He has worked mainly in the salt systems of the Gulf of Mexico and also in other salt basins in extensional and contractional settings. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado (1991). He has worked as an exploration geologist with Sohio, as a consultant with Geo-Logic Systems and Alastair Beach Associates, and as a researcher and professor at the University of Colorado. He is now an independent consultant on structural geology and salt tectonics.
