Degree in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences

The Degree in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences, coordinated by the University of Barcelona (UB) and with the participation of the UPC, offers a training program that will allow the company, the food business and the catering sector to provide professional profiles Necessary to face the challenges and opportunities of the future of the gastronomic and restaurant sector. This degree is an academic offer that covers the fields of agri-food, nutrition and health, food technology, tourism, hotels and gastronomy. In the design of the degree, important chefs and professionals from the sector have participated, as well as the gastronomic and food industry.

This is the first interuniversity degree in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences of the State, and is led by two public universities: the University of Barcelona and the UPC. The degree is taught by the University School of Hotel and Tourism CETT-UB (center attached to the UB) and includes specific training at the Torribera Food Campus (UB), in which the studies are assigned to the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences; at the School of Agriculture of Barcelona (ESAB), and in the spaces of the Alícia Foundation.
