The discipline of biomedical engineering applies the ideas and methods of engineering to the study of problems in biology and medicine, and its professionals have become important players in the strategies applied to today s socioeconomic issues and to the way we address the field of modern medicine.
The EHEA bachelor's degree course Biomedical Engineering is delivered by the Faculty of Medicine, hereby maximizing the degree course's association with the area of health and health care and facilitating the students' contact with professionals in health sciences. The classes will be jointly taught by the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Physics. In order to promote the internationalization of these studies and student and teacher mobility, the main language of instruction for the third and fourth years of the course will be English.
