Grand Tour of the Nau Côclea 2017
This year's Grand Tour (16 August - 3 September 2017) has taken us from the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Núria, in the Pyrenees, to the Benedictine monastery of Montserrat, in the heart of Catalonia. Throughout the route, participants were able to engage with spaces, monuments, local people and fellow travellers —all of them key elements in Catalonia's historical religious landscape— thus experiencing, sharing and trying to fathom this tangible and intangible heritage. Spiritual Landscapes wanted to be a part of this initiative opening up a dichronic dialogue with the landscape, and sharing experiences and knowledge with communities, artists and travellers.
Spiritual Landscapes' contributions to the Grand Tour involved two members of the team: Laura de Castellet (26-27 August at the Sanctuary of the Miracle), and Araceli Rosillo (31 August at the convent of Saint Claire in Manresa).
