LINE 4 - NETWORKS OF REFORM AND DISSENT

This research line aims to map the social relations, and the movement and circulation of ideas in the spiritual movements of reform and dissent. The projects will borrow the methodology of Social Network Analysis, conveniently adapted to historical analysis, in order to highlight the relational structure of certain communities of interpretation. In a first stage, two projects will be developed: the analysis of the relational network of the nunneries of reformed poor clares in Castile over the 14th and 15th centuries; and the networks of dissidence of the Beguins of Languedoc and the northeast of the Iberian peninsula. A map of the relational structure of these communities will show a landscape full of questions. See to ask and ask to know.
