The University of Barcelona will host the 3rd CRIC Study Day entitled 'Lady Travellers: escriptores, viatgeres, pioneres', a space for reflection dedicated to those women who, between the late 19th and 20th centuries, broke rules and boundaries, opening new paths for thought, creation and experience of the world. Through their works and careers, these pioneers transformed the cultural imaginaries of their time and left a mark that continues to inspire the present.
The sessions include studies on prominent figures such as Jamaica Kincaid, Aurora Bertrana, Montserrat Roig, Mura, Elsa Triolet and Teresa Pàmies, as well as on poetry and travel narrative. Each presentation offers a space for debate and reflection on how these women redefined literature, travel and cultural perspectives, inviting attendees to explore their influence on our time.
