EDDU has received two grants from the last call of the “Indústria del Coneixement” program from the “Departament de Recerca i Universitats de la Generalitat de Catalunya” which follows the objective to facilitate the transfer of research results.

The first project, led by Prof. Carmen Escolano, has received a “Producte” grant of 132,000 euros (2024 PROD PROD 00007). Its objective is the development of a new drug for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme, one of the most aggressive human cancers in adults.

The second project has received a “Llavor” grant of 25,000 euros (2024 LLAV 0021). The groups of Prof. Santiago Vázquez and Carles Galdeano aim to reach proof of concept of efficacy of a new PROTAC developed by EDDU researchers for targeting the MPro protein of coronaviruses.
