Course curriculum
The structure of the master's degree in General Health Psychology conforms to the guidelines set out in Ministerial Order ECD/1070/2013, which regulates the profession of general health psychologist. Of the 90 credits that make up the course, 78 correspond to compulsory subjects and 12 to optional subjects. The compulsory credits consist of 36 in theoretical learning, 30 in work placements in healthcare centres or health services, and 12 for the final project. Also, so that the course can be adapted as closely as possible to each candidate's professional and scientific interests, 30 optional credits are offered of which 12 must be completed.
The table below shows the compulsory and optional teaching blocks and subjects for the master's degree, the semester in which they are taught, and the corresponding credit weightings. Each compulsory theoretical teaching block has a corresponding subject, while the optional blocks include ten subjects.
