What is service learning?
Service learning is a teaching and research approach that integrates community service and academic learning in a single project that allows students to learn while they work on real needs of their surroundings with the aim to improve it.
Service learning is not only a learning strategy to acquire more and better knowledge, although it is obvious the fact that that learning should be optimized. Nor is a set of voluntary tasks to sensitize the students, although it is a good idea to incorporate community service as a teaching dynamism.
