Grants for catalan and english teaching text corrections

Un any més, s’obre la Convocatòria de correcció de materials docents escrits en català i la de correcció de materials docents escrits en anglès. La dotació econòmica d’aquestes convocatòries és de 10.000 € procedents en part de l’ajut Interlingua de la Generalitat de Catalunya.

Les convocatòries seran obertes tot l’any i els ajuts es concediran mentre hi hagi dotació econòmica.

In memoriam, Professor N.J. Mackintosh (1935-2015)

Professor Mackintosh had a long academic and scientific career in Experimental Psychology. He was Emeritus Professor in the Department of Psychology, University of Cambridge (UK) and Fellow of the Royal Society since 1987. His scientific contributions were highly prominent, receiving many distinctions like the Biological Medal and President's Award of the British Psychological Society He visited and worked in many universities, both in the United Kingdom and abroad, including the University of Barcelona.

From the Faculty of Psychology we would like to recognize the outstanding career of Professor Mackintosh, who was proposed for his designation as Doctor Honoris Causa at the University of Barcelona. Regrettably this process could not be completed due to his decease on February 8th, after a short illness. He will always be remembered.
