Professors Joan-Tomàs Pujola (UB coordinator) and Jaume Batlle collaborate in this Erasmus cooperation project of higher education institutions. The general objective of the digiTED@EU project is to promote and facilitate digitization among teacher educators in Europe by:
1) Develop a hybrid program for professional development that enhances the digital skills, competencies and creativity of teacher educators; promote the preparation of trainers to teach online and to design and organize digital courses; and provide resources for evaluation.
2) Empower teacher educators to be more engaged in their own learning and professional development around digital teacher competence
3) Stimulate transnationality, interdisciplinarity and collaboration at all levels regarding the digital teaching practices of teacher educators.
4) Promote the creation of a European Center for Digital Education.
5) Provide concrete recommendations so that those responsible for developing educational policies can generate digitization strategies at European, national and institutional levels.
