As part of the homage being paid on the 150th anniversary of the publication of Cantares gallegos, the Centre Dona i Literatura has co-organized with the Consello da Cultura Galega, Estudis Gallecs i Portuguesos and l'Institut d'Estudis Catalans a round table entitled "Catalunya i Rosalía de Castro. 150 anys de Cantares gallegos". The presidents of l'Institut d'Estudis Catalans and the Consello da Cultura Galega, Joandomènec Ros Aragonès and Ramón Villares, will officiate the act, that will include the participation of Lluïsa Julià (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), Marta Font i Espriu (Centre Dona i Literatura, Universitat de Barcelona), and the President of the Real Academia Galega, Xesús Alonso Montero, who will speak on reception, identity and the influence of Rosalía on Catalonian literature, especially on Espriu and Maria-Mercè Marçal, and what it means to write and publish in Galician and Catalan in the twentieth century. Free admission.
