Conversa a Filosofia: Assistència oberta
As part of the November programme of activities, the Philosophy and Gender Seminar-ADHUC is organising the screening of Constanze Ruhm's film È a questo punto che nasce il bisogno di fare storia (2024) at the Zumzeig Cinemas on Monday 17 November, followed by a discussion with the director, with the participation of Hypatia Pétriz, Lorena Fuster and Elena Laurenzi. On Tuesday 18 November, there will be a conversation between Ruhm, Pétriz and Laurenzi at the Faculty of Philosophy.
Constanze Ruhm is an artist and professor at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Vienna. Her productions investigate the relationship between different time-based formats, cinema and new media, their history and theory, focusing on themes of identity, representation and performativity, always from a feminist perspective. È a questo punto che nasce il bisogno di fare storia is centred on Italian feminism of the 1970s, especially on the group Rivolta femminile, the art critic and feminist writer Carla Lonzi, her posthumous work on the 17th-century précieuses, Armande sono io!, and art and film created by women. This event is organised as part of the Barcelona Pensa festival. Admission is free and in order of arrival.
