Gender and Sexuality in Hispanic Cultures
Final Program and attendance
The final program for the International Symposium “Género y sexualidad en las culturas hispánicas” has been published. The Symposium will take place at the Universitat de Lleida on October 8 and 9, 2018. The objective of this symposium is to present and promote a space for reflection and discussion on the most recent studies on gender and sexuality. The plenary sessions will be given by Elena Madrigal (Colegio de México), Humberto Guerra (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Xochimilco), Meri Torras (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and Josep M. Sala-Valldaura (poet). This activity is open to the public.
Call for Papers
Rafael M. Mérida Jiménez (ADHUC-University of Lleida) presents the call for contributions to the second International Symposium "Género y sexualidad en las culturas hispánicas", which will take place at the Universitat de Lleida on October 8 and 9, 2018. This activity aims to establish a dialogue between areas such as history, literature, linguistics or the arts in order to offer a broad, complex and interdisciplinary view of the debates that currently occupy the academic interest on this field, both in Spain and internationally. The deadline to send communication proposals to dicumas2017@gmail.com is June 10, 2018 and must include the following information in a single document:
- Title of the communication.
- Summary of the communication (maximum 400 words).
- Brief resume of the author (maximum 200 words).
The date of communication of the acceptance is July 1, 2018. The fee for speakers is 20 euros. Open attendance.
