François Fekete de Vàri

François FEKETE DE VARI obtained an MA in Philosophy (2015) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and completed his education with an MA in Human Rights (2019) at the Université Saint-Louis – Bruxelles (USL-B). After a four-year experience in the NGO field (UK and Belgium), he worked as a teaching assistant in Philosophy at the ULB and the USL-B, where he is now a PhD candidate. He holds a grant from the Fonds national de la recherche scientifique (F.R.S.-FNRS) to carry out his thesis, which is at the crossroads of gender studies, philosophy of norms and theories of recognition. He examines the ways in which recognition can contribute to a framing of gender and sexuality, particularly in regard to “non-standard” subjects (homosexual, intersex and trans* people).
