Konstantinos Makridakis is a PhD candidate at the Department of Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece). His research focuses on the terminological, classificatory, and taxonomical dimensions of Queer Performance, as well as its relational and ontological understanding. Drawing from an interdisciplinary theoretical framework, he proposes a formal, descriptive model within an open world of human action and artistic expression.

As part of his doctoral project, he investigates the artistic practices and cultural traditions emerging within the context of Queer Performance in Athens and Barcelona. By analyzing representative artworks, he aims to develop both an interpretative reading and a comparative critical approach between two urban realities shaped by similar political, social, economic, and artistic challenges. His objective is to establish an analytical framework that highlights queer dynamics within contemporary performance practices.
