Paula Currás-Prada
Juan de la Cierva researcher
Paula Currás-Prada is a postdoctoral Juan de la Cierva Fellow at the University of Barcelona and a member of ADHUC – Centre de Recerca Teoria, Gènere i Sexualitat. She completed her PhD in 2024 at the University of A Coruña with a tesis called Lyric Texture: Subjectvity and Textual Embodiment in Contemporary Feminist Experimental Poetry, and continues collaborating with this institution through the research group CLEU (Cultures and Literatures of the United States). During her time as a predoctoral student, she conducted two research visits, one at University College Dublin (2022) and another at Cornell University (2023). Currently, her postdoctoral research focuses on the role of the nonhuman (i.e. animals, plants, objects, technology) in North-American feminist and queer poetry.
