Víctor CANSINO ARÁN is a predoctoral researcher at ADHUC-Research Center for Theory, Gender, Sexuality and UNESCO Chair Women, Development and Cultures at Universidad de Sevilla. He graduated in Classical and Hispanic Philology (US, 2019), with a Master's Degree in Linguistic, Literary and Cultural Studies (US, 2021). His doctoral research, supervised by Dr. Isabel Clúa Ginés (ADHUC-Universidad de Sevilla), focuses on the codification and representations of gender and sexual dissidence in hispanic popular culture of early 20th century, involving collections of erotic novels, press and scene. From this corpus he seeks to analyze how these cultural products could create an alternative imagery to social exclusion and marginality, which were spread from scientific dissemination and social hygiene.
