ADHUC Prize in sexuality and gender studies

Announcement

The Consolidated Research Group Creació i Pensament de les Dones (Universitat de Barcelona) is announcing the ADHUC Prize in sexuality and gender studies to reward a research project in this interdisciplinary field of study. The Prize will be given annually and will consist of the publication of the awarded essay within the Icaria’s collection "Mujeres y culturas".

 

The members of the jury that will award the prize are: Fina Birulés (Universitat de Barcelona), Elena Madrigal (El Colegio de México), Rafael M. Mérida Jiménez (Universitat de Lleida), Alberto Mira (Oxford Brookes University), Marta Segarra (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and director of the collection) and Lluís Maria Todó (Universitat Pompeu Fabra).

 

The essays, which have to be unpublished (that is, they cannot be accessed via any means) and written in Spanish, will have a total length of between 150 and 220 pages of 2.100 characters each (including blank spaces). Collective volumes or collections of articles will not be accepted.

 

The texts have to be e-mailed and posted before December 15, 2015: e-mailed, in PDF format, to cdona@ub.edu (subject: Premio ADHUC); posted –it has to be a bound hard copy– to Centre Dona i Literatura, Premio ADHUC, Facultat de Filologia, Universitat de Barcelona, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 585, E-08007 Barcelona.

 

The Prize (see the terms and conditions here) will be awarded in March, 2016.
