Lectora 22: dossier on transnational indigenous feminisms

Issue number 22 of Lectora: revista de dones i textualitat is out. This volume includes a Dossier edited by Yi-Chun Tricia Lin entitled Transnational Indigenous Feminisms, which gathers essays by Amanda DiGioia, Jolan Hsieh, Coro J.A. Juanena, Jo-Ann Lee, Myriam Sánchez and Ana Valero Rey dealing with various manifestations of indigenous feminism in countries as diverse as Taiwan, Colombia, Finland and Canada, among others. The Dossier also includes a section dedicated to the legacy of Menominee leader-activist Ingrid Washinawatok El-Issa, murdered by the FARC in Colombia in 1999, with texts by Washinawatok, Sandra Álvarez and Susana Cáceres. The Varia section includes essays on Cervantes criticism by women, modern re-writings of The Tempest, Hannah Arendt's facet as educator, and the feminist project of the journal Artes y Letras of New York at the beginning of the twentieth century, among others. The journal concludes with the usual sections on Reviews and Artistic Creation, which features the original publication of the play Translúcid@ by Mexican playwright Elena Guiochins, presented and edited by Rafael M. Mérida Jiménez.
