Mireia Sallarès and Joana Masó, Ciutat de Barcelona Award

Award

The exhibition 'Com una mica d'aigua al palmell de la mà' by artist Mireia Sallarès has been granted the Ciutat de Barcelona Award for the Visual Arts. Held at Fabra i Coats Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona in 2019, and curated by Joana Masó (ADHUC-Universitat de Barcelona), the event took place in parallel to two publications in four languages and the seminar 'Amor per a què? Canviar l'amor per canviar-ho tot?,' which considers notions of love. It has been awarded the prize for its focus on affect as a form of reflection and in defense of activism for interpersonal relationships and power. ADHUC was one of the collaborators of the seminar with the participation of Marco Aparicio, Fina Birulés (Seminari Filosofia i Gènere, ADHUC-Universitat de Barcelona), Antonio Campillo, Eulàlia Comas, Mari Luz Esteban, Sonia Fernández Pan, Irene Jaume, Joana Masó, Irina Mutt, No Name Kitchen, Begoña Román, Mireia Sallarès, Noa Treister, and Brigitte Vasallo.
