The 2019 ACCA Award by the Catalan Association of Art Critics (Associació Catalana de Crítics d’Art) has been presented to the exhibition project FEMINISMES!, for best curatorial board. The jury highlights its lucidity, passion, and, above all, the much-needed dialog it establishes between sixties feminist art, represented by its pioneers, and contemporary artists. Thanks to an excellent curatorial work by Marta Segarra (LEGS-CNRS / ADHUC-Universitat de Barcelona) and Gabriele Schor (Verbund Collection), and as a result of a suggesting montage, the project has offered keys for the interpretation of the historical revolt and of the impact it has had on the most recent generations of female artists, merging new fights with those yet to be solved. Moreover, the jury values the wit in giving the exhibition a title in plural and with an exclamation mark (‘Feminismes!’) for rejecting monolithic perspectives and strategies in feminism, and for proving it to be a work in progress in terms of both legal rights and equality. It is also important to emphasize the links established between contexts, placing the Catalan artists at the forefront of international creation. Equally significant has been the large amount of activities organized  by CCCB, involving ADHUC researchers such as Fina Birulés, À. Lorena Fuster, Helena González or Joana Masó, among many others. Marta Segarra has also been recently awarded the Good Practices Prize in Non-Sexist Communication (Bones Pràctiques en Comunicació no Sexista) by the Association of Female Journalists (Associació de Dones Periodistes).
