Following the publication of Feminismos antirracistas: relecturas para el siglo XXI (Icaria, 2024; María Teresa Vera-Rojas (ed.) / Andrea Villar del Valle, Toni R. Juncosa, Helena González Fernández (trans.)), the CCCB is hosting a dialogue around policies, practices, debates and key readings to understand anti-racist feminisms and their policies of social transformation.
In this framework of feminist critical thought, María Teresa Vera-Rojas, lecturer at the University of the Balearic Islands, and expert in cultural and gender studies and anti-racist feminisms, along with Iki Yos Piña Narváez, artist researcher of anti-colonial memories and resistances of the black Caribbean; they invite to a critical reflection in dialogue with Marta Segarra, research director of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. The aim of these re-readings is to shape an ethics that aspires to new ways of living together, in which reflections on the interaction of race and gender are present both in theoretical discourse and in the institutional sphere.
