Iolanda Ogando will offer the lecture "Na memória das gerações que hão de vir. Persistências do cânone na paisagem (pós-)literária" (In memory of generations to come. Persistence of the canon in the (post-)literary landscape), in which she will provide an overview of the modern literary institution as a field that interacts with social, academic and cultural aspects, and of the area of conflict that arises around the construction of a canon. Ogando is a professor of Galician and Portuguese literatures and her research focuses on the history of Galician dramatic literature, mediation and literature, and on the use of ICT in language teaching. She has coordinated the research group 'Languages and cultures in modern Europe: discourse and identity' for the project 'Branding the canon'.
This event is part of the series 'Non só Rosalía de Castro', organised by Galician and Portuguese Studies and ADHUC-Center for Research in Theory, Gender and Sexuality. Presentation in Portuguese.
