Alex Ferré Pallach

Alex FERRÉ PALLACH is a predoctoral researcher in the Doctoral Program in Citizenship and Human Rights of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Barcelona, ​​where he is developing his doctoral thesis in the field of political philosophy with a predoctoral contract through a University Teaching Staff Training Grant (FPU) from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. He holds a Bachelor's degree in History (2018) and Philosophy (2024) from the University of Barcelona and completed the Interuniversity Master's in Contemporary History and the Modern World (2019) at the University of Barcelona and the Open University of Catalonia.

His research focuses, in general terms, on the history of philosophy and political philosophy and, more specifically, on the tradition of political and social thought of the modern and contemporary era, with a strong interest in political realism, the republican tradition, and the relationship between politics and society, especially concerning authors such as Machiavelli, Spinoza, Marx, and Hannah Arendt.

His teaching experience includes substitute teaching in moral and political philosophy and practical classes in cultural history, both for the Bachelor's degree in Philosophy at the University of Barcelona, as well as participating in and leading seminars on political philosophy, contemporary thought, and classical culture.

He is currently researching under the supervision of Dr. Lorena Fuster, focusing on the debate over Hannah Arendt's conceptualization of societas, or the social world, in contrast to Arendt's theorization of the political sphere and the factual existence of political communities in the strict sense.
