GiM’s researchers receive funding from the Social Observatory of “la Caixa” Foundation to fund research on Flexible work arrangements and gender inequality in the labor market

Lidia Farré (IP), leading a team involving other two GiM’s researchers, Laia Maynou and Marta Curull, has just received one of the 12 excellent innovative and socially-oriented research projects in Spain, awarded and funded by the Social Observatory of “la Caixa” Foundation. The project deals with “Flexible work arrangements and gender inequality in the labor market”. The main goal of the study is to analyze the impact of workplace flexibility on the functioning of the labor market and more precisely on gender inequality. It will investigate the contribution of gender differences in preferences to pay for flexibility to the persistence of gender inequality.
