Beatriu de Pinós 3-years Postdoctoral Scholarship

The Government and Markets Research Group (GiM) and the Public Policy Section of the Department of Econometrics are willing to pre-select candidates in order to support them in the application process for the Beatriu de Pinós Programme Call by the AGAUR (Catalan Agency for Management of University and Research Grants).

The Government and Markets Research Group (GiM) is a research group whose goals are to promote and disseminate work in applied economics and public policy evaluation (http://www.ub.edu/gim).

The University of Barcelona is a leading centre in southern Europe, with a strong commitment to excellence in research. The UB School of Economics enjoys a long tradition of research and teaching, offering both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in the field of Economics and Business.

The application must be submitted by the professor of the recipient research group that must coordinate the candidate’s research activities. The Government and Markets Research Group (GiM) and the Public Policy Section of the Department of Econometrics are willing to pre-select outstanding candidates in order to support them in the application process.

Government and Markets Research Group (GiM) is one of the research groups of the Institute for Research in Applied Economics (IREA), and works together with the Public Policy Observatory (OAP).

Candidates of any nationality must meet the following requirements:

  • To have obtained their doctorate between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2021.
  • Having, at the time of joining the host institution, a minimum of two (2) years of postdoctoral experience outside Spain. This postdoctoral experience, regardless of the type of affiliation, may have been carried out in different institutions, as long as the total period of postdoctoral stay is at least two (2) years.
  • Comply with the following mobility rule: not have resided in Spain for more than 12 months in the last three (3) years prior to the end date of the application submission deadline. The mobility rule is also not met if you have worked in Spain for more than 12 months in the last three (3) years prior to the end date of the application submission deadline
This is a 3-years postdoctoral scholarship.
