Inform yourself

Information from the UB to its staff

Law 31/1995 on the Prevention of Occupational Risks (LPRL), in its Article 18, ‘Information, consultation and participation’, establishes the employer’s obligation to inform all employees of the following:

  1. The risks to the safety and health of workers at work, both those affecting the organisation as a whole and those affecting each workplace or function,
  2. The prevention measures and activities applicable to said risks,
  3. And the measures adopted regarding emergency response.

This space has been created so that all PDI, PTGAS and research staff can find information related to their centre, workplace and the activities they carry out, and can comply with the obligations laid down for workers in Article 29 of Law 31/1995, ‘Obligations of workers in relation to preventive measures’, and which involve safeguarding their own safety and health and that of anyone who may be affected by their professional activity.

Paral· Parallel to this, it is necessary to receive from the personnel responsible for the workspace and the activity to be carried out information and training on the safe-use rules of the space, the correct operation of all equipment and the appropriate working procedures and techniques, applying the necessary preventive measures to carry out any activity correctly and safely.

Please read carefully and, if you have any queries, or believe that any activity you carry out is not identified, please contact the Office of Safety, Health and Environment by email at ossma@ub.edu.
